Hi, I’m Divish
Originally from Fiji, I moved to New Zealand when I was five years old. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). I chose to become a driving instructor because I have a strong passion for teaching and a desire to make a positive impact on road safety. After witnessing how effective guidance can transform a learner's confidence and skills, I realised that helping others achieve their goals is both rewarding and meaningful to me.
Teaching students to drive allows me to empower them with important life skills, building their confidence and independence. Knowing that I have contributed positively to their driving journey gives me great job satisfaction.
My goal is to help students become confident, competent, and safe drivers. I strive to create a supportive and positive learning environment that not only helps students reach their goals but also instils lifelong safe driving habits. I feel great pride hearing from a student who has passed their test, especially when it’s on their first attempt, as it reaffirms my teaching is effective!
