Hi, I’m Hassy - an experienced, friendly driving instructor dedicated to helping you become a safe and confident driver.
Originally from Zimbabwe, I bring more than 55 years of safe driving experience to every lesson. Before becoming a driving instructor, I worked as a Testing Officer for several years, and I have also spent 12 of my 21 years in New Zealand as a professional driver. With that depth of experience, you can feel confident that you’re learning from someone who truly knows the road.
As a former trainer for a bus company, I found real satisfaction in helping complete beginners develop into safe, capable, and confident drivers. Supporting that progress is still one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
It’s completely normal to feel nervous when learning to drive, which is why I create a calm, supportive environment from the very first lesson. My lessons are enjoyable, informative, and tailored to help you build confidence quickly — and I love seeing my students pass their tests and drive away with pride.
I also conduct Defensive Driving Courses and in-car assessments to help drivers strengthen their skills, improve safety, and meet their goals.
