Hi, my name is Mark.
After 36 years in law enforcement, I retired and began a new career as an AA Driving Instructor in 2016.
During my time with the New Zealand Police, I also worked as a Driver Licensing Testing Officer before NZTA took over. This experience has given me a strong understanding of what is required to become a safe, confident driver and to pass driving tests successfully.
I take a relaxed, personalised approach to instruction, tailoring each lesson to suit the individual needs, experience, and confidence level of every learner.
I chose this career because I enjoy helping people develop a skill they will use for life—one that provides independence and opportunity.
Supporting people to achieve their goals has always been important to me, and I take pride in creating a positive and encouraging learning environment.
