Hello, my name is Nick.

Prior to becoming a driving instructor with the AA, I was a police officer for twelve years, primarily focused on traffic and road policing. This involved ongoing and advanced training in defensive driving and specialized driving practices.

In my role as a police officer, I witnessed countless collisions, sadly, some fatal. The long-lasting and devastating impact these events have on people and their families was sad to see. It’s fair to say this influenced me to become a driving instructor.

I love my job as a driving instructor. The AA has always been my first choice as I believe they are the gold standard in all things automobile associated.

I really look forward to going to work every day as I get so much satisfaction from working with my students and watching their progression and skills develop. I find the key to everyone learning to drive is the calmer the instructor, the more relaxed the student.  Building confidence is also key to a student’s development.

Nick is an exceptional driving instructor. He is incredibly patient in his explanations and consistently emphasises safe driving habits. His clear guidance and techniques have helped me build strong confidence behind the wheel. I truly appreciate his calm teaching style and commitment to ensuring his students become safe, capable drivers. Three other members of my family have also learnt to drive with him, which speaks a lot about the trust we have in his instruction. I highly recommend Nick to anyone looking for a skilled, supportive, and professional driving teacher.
