Hi there, my name is Tony.
Before becoming an instructor over 7 years ago, I was a police officer for 17 years – the last 10 years of my career were on highway patrol. I attended many driver direction events where I educated young drivers on hazard awareness techniques and safe driving practices.
The best part of my job is getting to know my students' strengths and weaknesses and identifying how best to increase their skills. I enjoy getting to know my students, encouraging them and take great satisfaction taking a novice student through to hopefully a first test pass. I strive to ensure my students feel relaxed and know that they are in good hands.
When I decided to leave the police, I still wanted to be involved in teaching new learners how to be safe and responsible drivers which is what led me to becoming an AA Driving Instructor.
