I had Philip as my driving instructor. He’s very funny and always makes you feel comfortable/confidant when driving. He makes sure you understand your mistakes, going through things visually and backing it with useful information which really helped me pass my restricted license test. He’s very open and approachable, helping you with any questions on and off the road with no fear of judgement. I had never driven before and was completely new to driving when I started learning with David. Thanks to his patient, detailed, and highly effective instruction, I was able to pass my restricted licence test on my first attempt. David is an incredibly patient instructor and is especially good at encouraging his students. Rather than asking me to memorise driving rules and procedures, he always explained the reasons and logic behind them first. Once I understood why something needed to be done, I naturally remembered how to do it. David pays great attention to detail, but even when I made mistakes, he never discouraged me. Instead, he patiently guided me through repeated practice, identified exactly where I needed to improve, and provided practical and effective solutions. I am truly grateful for all of David’s guidance and support. As someone learning to drive for the very first time, he not only taught me how to drive safely and confidently but also helped me build my confidence. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor.

Jeff is an amazing instructor and was 10/10 hands down the calmest and kindest person when it came to teaching me. I embarked on my journey of getting my restricted license after 5+ years of holding my learners. I had started with another instructor, but booked with Bobby after a recommendation from a friend, and in total I had 8 lessons with him. His passion for teaching and driving is extremely evident in his lessons. He is so patient, kind and informative. I am extremely impressed by his observational skills, on one (or a few) occasions, he had reminded me to relax. As an anxious person, I hadn’t realised how tensed up I was, I instantly felt my shoulders drop and grip loosen, and I felt and drove 10x better. I took a lesson with Kylie last week on Friday at 9am for my restricted test that was today at 1.45pm. I am from Hamilton but was taking my test in Morrinsville. Kylie was great for helping navigating the unfamiliar roads, lots of tips and direction at the tricky interactions and areas of concern to practice for. She had really great tips and tricks to help remember things. I passed! Sophie my (testing officer) said I did really great and she had no comments, I flew through. I cannot recommend Satish highly enough. I recently passed my Restricted License test with no critical errors, and honestly, I still can’t quite believe it. I genuinely don’t think I would have gotten there without his guidance, patience, and belief in me. I was an incredibly nervous, anxious, and doubtful learner. In fact, Satish was telling me I was ready for my test long before I believed it myself. He took the time to answer every question I threw at him (and trust me, there were a lot), always thoughtfully and without ever making me feel silly for asking. One of my favorite memories is from my very first lesson. Satish taught me mirror checks and blind spots and then 10 mins later told me to do a three-point turn. I remember thinking, “YOU WANT ME TO DO WHAT??” I was trying to remember mirrors, blind spots, indicators, steering, where the car was going, where I was going… my brain was basically buffering. There was just so much going on at once. Fast forward to one of our last practice tests and the three-point turn felt like one of the easiest things in the world. Looking back, it’s actually pretty funny. I think that story sums up Satish perfectly. He has a way of taking things that feel overwhelming and impossible and breaking them down until one day you realise you’re doing them without even thinking. His calm, patient, and reassuring presence helped me go from an anxious, doubtful learner to a safe and confident driver. Learning to drive was a huge milestone for me. I’m 26, my parents don’t drive, and my sister was the first person in my family to get her licence. I’ve been trying, wishing, and talking about getting my licence for years. Passing wasn’t just about passing a test, it was something that meant a lot to me personally. Satish wasn’t just an instructor, he was a teacher throughout the whole journey. He’s knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, genuinely funny and has a real talent for knowing what a student needs in the moment.

I began my lessons incredibly anxious about both being behind the wheel and constantly exposed to an instructor's scrutiny, but thanks to his friendly and constructive demeanor, my nervousness had all but disappeared after a few lessons. His focus on building up one's driving fundamentals was key to my establishing confidence early on, and served me well in all of our subsequent lessons. I passed my second restricted license test without trouble (it was failing the first one which led me to booking his lessons in the first place). For context, I had held my learner licence for 3 years and had never driven a car before seeing Satish, so he pretty much taught me everything I know.
