Hi. My name is Dave.

I've enjoyed being an AA Driving Instructor in Tauranga for the last 10 years and have happily provided well over 10,000 lessons in that time. I was named AA's Instructor of the Year in 2016 and I live in Bethlehem.

My training style is informal and informative. Students enjoy their lessons and gain confidence quickly. I give clear instructions and honest feedback. Each and every lesson has a positive outcome. People are busy these days so I try and offer lessons most weekends.

Everyone learning to drive is unique. Each lesson will be tailored to your individual needs. I enjoy watching students improve and eventually gain their driving independence.

And, of course, there is usually a Test to be passed at the end. My students go into the Test understanding what is required to be successful. And more importantly, knowing that they have 100% control of the outcome.

	This is my story. About 30 years ago, during my third driving lesson, I had an accident. The biggest impact was psychological. I tried many times to learn how to drive in different countries across Europe, but I always faced the same problem—I panicked all the time. When I started lessons with Dave, he explained the safety reasons behind driving rules. He gave me many simple, easy-to-remember tips that I still use when driving. Most importantly, Dave restored my confidence in my ability to drive safely. I thought that passing my test in my 50s would be difficult, but Dave told me that my age was actually an advantage. His words changed my attitude toward myself as a driver. I began to believe that I could pass my driving test. Well, I did it—I passed my full-license driving test! And if I succeeded, it was thanks to Dave. Thank you so much, Dave, for all your help and for making me believe that I can drive and enjoy driving safely.
