Hi, my name is Gilly.

In a previous life I worked in media and marketing for Mediaworks as their National Rural Manager. I worked with radio, television and magazines including owning “Lattitude”, a lifestyle magazine, in Canterbury.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about walking my three dogs, plus horse riding, farming with my partner.

My students say that I create a relaxing, fun environment where they can understand what it takes to be a safe and risk-aware driver for life. I treat each new driver as an individual and discuss personalised plans to help them respond positively to any challenges on our roads.

I pride myself in being a great communicator, who is patient and calm and get great joy from seeing my students succeed. When I receive a text from a student to tell me they’ve passed their test it makes this career very rewarding.

I look forward to guiding you on your driving journey.

Quotes

When I first started my driving lessons, I was nervous and quite scared of driving. Gilly made such a huge difference. From day one, she was patient, reassuring, and so easy to learn from, which helped me relax and feel more comfortable each time I got in the car. I was always reminded of the safety checks, and all those gentle reminders helped build my muscle memory until everything started to feel natural. I also learned how to steer properly and gained a much better understanding of how to control the car in different situations. I have gone from feeling anxious about driving to feeling capable and confident. I am really grateful for the guidance and encouragement throughout the entire process.
